Natallia Pintusava is a Chemical Engineering student at the University of Minnesota who works on our Economically Motivated Adulteration projects. A large portion of her work at the Institute is dedicated to research on global EMA incidents and keeping the EMA incidents database up-to-date. Natallia has always been passionate about food and keeping the food system safe and reliable for consumers.
Dr. Tim Boyer is one of the Center's resident Epidemiologists. Tim joined FPDI after completing his PhD student work on evaluation of methods to measure antibiotic resistance in livestock and methods of analyzing resistance data.
Amanda Moren is a CoreSHIELD Specialist on our IT team. She manages FoodSHIELD memberships and overall functionality. She is an invaluable resource on CoreSHIELD portal knowledge, assists project managers with specific tasks, and provides webinar and seminar support to FoodSHIELD members.
Jessica La Forest is the project manager that oversees many of our IT projects. She manages 10 projects to include portals and sites for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Food and Drug Administration, and the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Erin Mann, MPH is a project manager with the National Center for Food Protection and Defense. She primarily works on the Focused Integration of Data for Early Signals (FIDES) project and provides support to other projects such as CRISTAL and the Center’s Emerging Issues work on Ebola.
We are excited to announce the arrival of our newest research team member, Dr. John W. Larkin. As Research Director, Dr. Larkin will be leading the National Center for Food Protection and Defense’s (NCFPD) research team and initiatives.
Lisa Brower has been NCFPD’s Training Coordinator for the last 4 years.
Fukhrudin Khalif Maalim, MGIS, M.S. is a Research Fellow working on our Economically Motivated Adulteration project. Fukhrudin works with large datasets focused on food imports into the U.S.
Brittany Mader is NCFPD’s Finance Manager and has the tremendous responsibility of overseeing all of the Center’s fiscal activities. Brittany is able to balance large proposals, future budgets, and funding sources all while making sure that our pens get paid for.
