Abstract: 
The course developed is an entry-level awareness course designed to enlighten learners about food defense and risk communication. The course is divided into two lessons. The first lesson focuses on providing an overview of food terrorism, including recent incidents, food system vulnerabilities, food terrorism agents, common perpetrators, tactics used to contaminate a food supply and the impact of and public reaction to a food terrorism incident. Lesson Two highlights the importance of risk communication during a food terrorism incident.
